Awesome birthday surprise
Yes, there is a world-class whisky museum located in central Germany. Amazing setting that is tucked into the historic Kyrburg castle ruins. We had a group of about 12 adults. Great food and a really informative tasting. When they heard it was my birthday, they poured me a glass of whisky from my birth year. Pretty amazing. If you coordinate with them in advance and have a big enough party, he can do the entire presentation in English or at least come over to your table and give you some information in English if you have a smaller group. From the location, to the food, to the whisky to the people, it was a great experience.

This is the place to celebrate any special occasion
My wife and I came here for lunch and to buy a special whisky for a friends birthday. Fortunately, we arrived early and got the only table not reserved. Needless to say, we weren't seated at a table next to the windows, but the view was still wonderful. Our meals were excellent. Afterwards, we were escorted into the Whisky cellar. No way did I expect to see such a place. One must go to appreciate it. Reservations are a must.

For the whisk(e)y fan!
Wonderful place to visit for the whisky fan. The food is terrific, the atmosphere and host/chef was nothing short of amazing, and the whisky selection...oh, my...fantastic! Over 3000 bottles I believe. The price is really fair and I will definitely bring family & friends every time!
