Make A Detour to a Special Place
On recommendation from a friend, we made a special detour of our trip along the Rhine to visit this museum. On first impression, it was very impressive with the outdoor exhibits of jets, trains and a submarine that were invitingly set up to climb aboard and explore. There are several buildings to investigate with every category of vehicle you could ever imagine on display in a well represented fashion. We only gave ourselves 2 hours to see it all, as we thought that should be enough, but it was a whirlwind tour and it became clear you could spend days there reading everything there was available to read about each vehicle. We bought the companion book that has the information of each important vehicle there to read later. There is also a second location, 10 minutes away by car, where even more vehicles can be found! Before we left we bought a t-shirt and ate well at the large café. I have recommended the Speyer Museum to friends and family since our visit and hope to someday return.

Fun for EVERYONE
Great interactive museum. My three year old LOVED it. It was not crowded on New Years Day and the exhibits were all open. I highly recommend going in cooler weather rather than in the summer because the place is not air conditioned. We did not do the IMAX and still had TONS of fun. Spent about 3 hours there and could have done more. Ate snacks at the restaurant (the cheesecake was amazing). We will go back!

Amazing experience
Absolutely amazing place. Spent the day there, but still did not see everything. We were surprised at how small the Concorde is inside. The exhibits are very impressive, and one can climb up, or go into many of them. The restaurant also very good. Highly recommended to visit.
