Konz Museum
This museum is a bit difficult to find, but once found you are in for a treat. There are so many items on show. Find the room with the toy soldiers etc. Apart from the indoor museum you have a small village in the same grounds, in which you can go inside the buildings; its like going back in time.

Excellent and highly recommended
This open air and indoor folk museum is in Konz, not far from Trier and Saarburg. It's excellent value at 5 euro entry fee and the member of staff at the entrance was very helpful and informative. There are nice walks through rose gardens and around the various houses, all of which can be entered. Inside the main buildings there are wide number of interesting exhibitions and displays. If you are in the area, then it's highly recommended for a visit.

Nice living museum
22 ha Open-air museum (living museum) presents the former daily (farmers) life of the entire region. In addition to the interesting farmers exhibition the museum offers complete houses and farmhouses, which are, according to their prior use, decorated, including furniture. There is a Hunsrückvillage, a still being under construction Moselle village, rose gardens and various farmers gardens ... It has one of the largest museums with winepresses, agriculture alaam, and a large section with toys from all over the world that we have ever seen, huge! Once past this part one meanders along a path uphill trough the houses, which are set as if it was a real village. The outside part is not as big as we have seen at other living museums, but it was surely an enjoyment... At the restaurant my partner ordered a schnitzel, wich arrived with the size of half a pig: montrously large!
