Idea Place to visit when the weather outside not good
The Interactive exhibition here is about the River Rhine. It is very interesting. You need sometime to go around. You can save all the formation in the Chip on your Ticket and read it again at home. Idea Place to visit when outside is cool and raining... or when it is too hot outside, because they have an aircon. inside. Romanticum located in City Center, connected to the Shopping Mall "Forum Mittelrhein".

Nice little museum but nothing to write home about.
This museum is located in a beautiful modern building in the heart of town. Adults pay €6. There are a number of listening stations that provide German and English commentary and numerous pull-out information tableaus. There are also a few exhibits that let visitors interact with some props and some features for kids. The items on exhibit are typical of the Koblenz region (wineries, fisheries, harbor installation, castles, etc.) and if one knows nothing about German culture would certainly be very interesting but if you already have some knowledge you will find very little new or suprising data points. One of the nicest exhibits is the stylized ship bridge that allows one to chose different Rhein or Mosel cruises which are then displayed in the ships “windshield“. Overall okay on a rainy day but nothing to write home about.

Interesting
Nice to visit but we felt more for children with the interactive workings. It does have some interesting history information on the Rhine and what it was used for. Attached to the tourist information centre.
