Worth A Visit
People have told us not to bother visiting this important WWII site because “there is nothing there.” We chose to ignore the advice and were glad we did. There is an enormous piece of the bridge on both sides of the Rhine River. There is also a Peace Museum that is closed in order to bring it into the 21st Century with new technology. An American flag flies proudly from the top of the bridge. It’s a great place to sit and contemplate what happened here and to see how peaceful a place it is now with the boats going by on the river. Parking is available a little ways up the road from the Bridge and is free. There are no other facilities at this site at the present time.

Nice little museum. English translations!
A nice little museum. Rather sobering we thought, but then its documenting part of a terrible war. Lots of stairs, as the museum is sited within 2 of the remaining towers of the bridge that was so fought over. We also found out about the huge POW camps in the area at the end of the war. Lots of translations in English. We are an english family, and contrary to the last review, we felt very welcome there.

A Remarkable piece of History
The Museum and remains of the Bridge at Remagen brings back a sense of a major historical event that only actually standing there and feeling the atmosphere can ever generate. A remarkable reminder of WW2 and what occurred at this spot.
