Fascinating place
Really lovely interactive museum. Our tour guide had organised an enthusiastic and knowledgeable English speaking guide for the underground tour. Our group had fun on this part of the trip learning all sorts of geological detail and about rivalries in beer brewing. Our guide was prominent in the geological field and he showed us one of the machines he had been involved in with regard to the chemical composition of various rocks. The demonstration of the formation of maars is suitable for all and was enjoyable

Very nice for small kids also
Small but interesting, especially the videos. Small children can also participate. The underground tour was crowded and kind of chaotic, I guess due to the holiday, but the whole experience was pleasant.

Fascinating volcano visit !
A really informative museum which kept the attention of all our party, from 7 to 70 years old ! We also had the mine visit - we knew that the visit was only in German, but it would be much appreciated if you could provide an English or French language Factsheet. I am a volunteer guide at another attraction and we make an effort to have multi-lingual guides as often as possible (for less visitors...) but if we do not have the right guide then all visitors are given a laminated factsheet for the tour.
