    Must-see history!
Worth the price of admission just to get to go in the vault and see original full Gutenberg Bibles and other printings. For Reformed people there are wonderful Luther tracts as well. It does not take long to see the highlights. They do have English audio guides that give a highlight tour. My #1 thing to see/do in Mainz.

A must visit museum when in Mainz
The museum is close to the Mainz Cathedral (which is also a must visit when in Mainz). First, they ask for your vaccination card and then you need to fill up a form for contact tracing. Covid measures (wearing face masks and distancing) are being observed which is very good. Of course, the highlight of the museum are the two copies of the world-famous 42-line Gutenberg Bible. Entrance fee is 5 Euros/adult.
