I’m not religious at all but I’m glad I went. A special place to go amazing how it was built into the hillside. A very peaceful place even if like me you’re not a believer it’s well worth a visit.

Just imagine...
Imagine the hot sun, crisp blue sky and sound of cicadas. Imagine overwhelming smell of the pine trees. And imagine an amazing sanctuary build within the cave that looks a bit like made with play dough... The place is breathtaking even before you cross the gate. And imagine you can make a wish and ask Esperanza (which means hope) for anything. Imagine a blue river few steps away and stone benches where you can just forget the world. Just imagine... or go and see for yourself.. :) (all for free btw plus a lovely restaurant where you can have a proper lunch/dinner so you don't have to rush anywhere else.) P.S. I've uploaded few more photos if your imagination is not enough ;)

Beautiful
A stunning cave church near Calasparra. A picnic area below & alongside the river with BBQ pitches. A very small museum just past the church entrance. Cafe/restaurant past both doors. WC's near the picnic area with refreshment stands which seem tobe seasonal.
