A lovely place for a stroll and a relaxing lunch
We visit Aguilas fairly regularly and last time we had a menu del dia lunch at one of the bars on the edge of the square. It is a great place to just relax and chill out. The gardens are pretty with a fountain and a flock of doves. The town hall is at one end and the parish church at the other and there are some lovely old buildings around the edge

    Watch the world go by.
A great place to sit and watch the world go by. There are benches in the centre around the fountain. Parents bring their children to feed the pigeons / doves and the little ones try to catch them as little ones do! If you see people staring into a tree or pointing their phone cameras up there, the chances are they've spotted the pink dove. Really! There are pavement cafes around the perimeter of the square so you can view the world passing by from a different perspective and admire the various buildings. It's a peaceful place even though there's always something going on.
