A lovely open space around the cathedral

This time the weather was not hot enough to linger outside but it is a beautiful space with some superb buildings fronting onto it.

Visited the square which has the cathedral of st Mary and the tourists centre and a few coffee/ lunch cafes. It is paved over and a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon and enjoy a lunch while people watching.

    Charming little plaza
Dave and I took a break in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga with its numerous cafes and bars was lively even in the morning hours. Surrounded by I walked across to read the sign posted on the colorful building facing the square. It told me the origins of the seminary date back to 1592, during the era of Bishop Don Sancho Davila. The current building was erected under the auspices of Bishop Don Luis Belluga with the intent of improving the level of training and studies for the seminarians.
