La Torre Golf, Region of Murcia, Spain

4.0 (115 reviews) Spent Ranking #3 in Torre-Pacheco Golf Courses

A resort bursting back to life.

I visited this resort in the midst of lockdown in July and October 2022. Apart from a little bar by the lake and the Acacia restaurant, there was very little life socially. What a change. The last weekend has seen Rugby Internationals and a spellbinding Open Championship and all those events were delivered to an appreciative audience in a recently opened O’Learys Bar. A young staff eager to learn and management eager to please Diners, drinkers and Sports fans. Great to see along with the other bars and restaurants on sites enjoying good trade.

Lively golf and spa resort with turtles
We started the day with a visit to Nueva Condomina the largest shopping centre in Murcia. Having spent most of the day there browsing the shops, we stopped at La Torre Golf & Spar Resort on the way home. The golf resort was immaculate with manicured gardens and great facilities including a supermarket, gift shop, beauty salon, bike hire and a hotel (Double Tree by Hilton).which had an amazing infinity pool and Spar. There was a plaza of bars and restaurants nestled around the lake. Within the lake there were 100s of gold fish (all sizes including babies), turtles and ducks. There was a lovely atmosphere with music. We sat outside overlooking the lake on the decked terrace of O'Learys. The terrace was furnished with clean, comfortable seating and to the rear of the bar there was an amazing swimming pool with sunbeds. We browsed the menu and decided to eat our evening meal watching the turtles. There was a great menu and I opted for the BBQ ribs with coleslaw and french fries. My husband had steak and chips. Our friends had fish and chips, and burger with chips. The meals were freshly cooked and looked amazing. All meals were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The waitress who served us was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely visit La Torre and O'Learys again.
