Go play Alhama.
Go play Alhama. As good a layout as you’ll find anywhere. Designed to hold the Spanish Open and as so many was struck by the financial crisis. Tee boxes, greens and bunkers in excellent condition, fairways are generally poor but don’t let that stop you. Each hole brings its own character and challenge with wonderful views and backdrops. Best golfing experience for me in a long while.

Excellent course
We have just returned from a week long golf trip and played four courses Mar Menor twice as we were staying on site (rating 8/10) Hacienda Riquelme (rating 7/10) El valle (8.5/10) and Alhama Signature (9/10) This was our favourite course of them all as it was mostly separate from the housing developments and offered a great test of golf without being too difficult. Fairways were mostly generous greens were excellent and hazards were plentiful but always fair. It is definitely worth playing if you are in the area.

Nice course but pretty long
Played here in March and November 2019. Course was in pretty good shape with very quick greens. Ladies tees are well forward which makes the course moremanagable for them. 11th can be a card wrecker if you go for the green. Can bail to the right to avoid water. Clubhouse is the weakest part which is a shame since it is one of the best courses we have played in the area.
