    Science, natural history, learning centre.......
Like most museums there is always something interesting or new to see and learn about. And a good place to visit on a rainy day. Queensland Museum is easy to access in South Brisbane and from South Bank and the CBD. Various themes/displays occur on several levels, including an Anzac Legacy Gallery, minerals, Australian coral reef research, the Pacific, Science learning centre for children/school groups (entry fee to SparkLab), and a diverse exhibition of Australian fauna and habitats (Wild State). Lots of information and photographs provided. The Museum also holds temporary exhibitions, and during my stay in Brisbane I enjoyed 'Disney: The Magic of Animation' (fee applied). Free entry to the Museum and most of the exhibits.

Must do for young and old
Closed on our arrival and open the last day of our holiday, was lucky to get a tour of the Museum in. Free entry - Plenty to see and very informative. Can travel and view everything at your own pace, sit back and learn. Science section - Paid entry was also very informative. Museum attendant at the Musical Pipes out gave us a very entertaining rendition of a few tunes he had learned. Was a great and loved it.
