Great spot to SUP
....psst don't tell everyone as we enjoyed having it all to ourselves today... but this is a lovely spot to stand up paddle board. Easy access from car park, clear calm water and lots of fish and birdlife to spot.

A beautiful place to relax.
At the top of the Gillies range you will see a turn off to Lake Barrine. This is a beautiful place to go for a walk around the lake, sit and relax, enjoy the tea house, or do what many of us locals do and take a SUP or a kayak. It is so very beautiful and relaxing.

Great 5km lake walk
Worth the trip when visiting the Atherton Tablelands. The lake is serene and relaxing, but the 5km loop walk around the lake was the best. You are sheltered from the sun by the tree canopy for the entire walk. There's a lot of wildlife, and there are two awe inspiring Kauris trees. I did stop for Devonshire tea at the teahouse, but it seemed like they used whipped cream from a can. Although the homemade jam was lovely.
