Fun, affordable break from the caves

We wanted to enjoy the sun and the river and this trail supported that wish. We chose to pay for just the walk - 80k VND each. This meant that we could walk along bamboo paths which run along and over the river. When we arrived at nearly the end of the trail, we paid 10k each to have a swim which was a fun way to cool off. We avoided the 180k option of kayaks and other activities as it was busy with families. The swim was much quieter. We would recommend this option for a couple of hours, or longer if you have a family. It's a nice break from the caves and the setting is picturesque.

Too many Vietnamese on the weekend in summer!
The stream is very beautiful and the water is fresh and cool, so nice to swim there, But we have met many Vietnamese tourist on that day, Saturday. You should be here in the afternoon, I think that is better.

    A nice day out
There are two parts of the the park, the expensive one which seems like a water fun park or the cheaper one which is basically a relatively large body of water under a very small waterfall or rapid. On a blue sky day, its pleasant and I spent the day reading a book and my wife went for swims. Yes it is compulsory to wear life jackets, it is a health and safety issue and many Vietnamese I talk to can't swim, I guess it is easier to make one rule for everyone. You have to hire the life jacket for 10k dong and they seem quite new and you can use them as seats if you like. You can grab any of the workers and order food or drinks and they will deliver it to you, it is expensive especially the food, we ordered a whole chicken and sticky rice for 320k dong, more than what I pay for back in Australia.
