A great day hiking, eating and learning about the local culture
We joined a day tour to the island and are so happy that we did. The boat crossing took about an hour but was well worth it. Stunning views from the island and so interesting learning about how the people if the island are preserving their culture. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of fresh trout from the lake cooked by a local couple. Our tour guide was excellent as well keeping the group together and educating us on the history and customs of the area. Highly recommend.

Spectacular!
We took a boat ride from Puno, about 45 minutes, to this place for a wonderful display of music, dancing, and education of how and why and what they do. Then we sat down for a delicious lunch and could shop their home made artesan goods. No such thing as a more perfect day!
