The only way to travel Cusco-Puno

This trip will always be a South America highlight. The train itself was absolutely beautiful, making you feel like you had stepped back in time. Journeying through the Andes on the train was simply stunning with the scenery and the opportunity to get out and explore at the highest elevation point (4500m). But what made it really stand out was the service. The staff, in particular Victor, were really attentive and always making sure that you had everything that you needed. Plus there were some surprises we weren't expecting such as an on board band, dancing and a fashion show. Whilst this is an expensive way to journey from Cusco to Puno we would not have changed it as it was worth every penny!

    Peru rail to KM104 for Inca Trail
    We took the early Peru rail train from Ollantaytambo to KM104 to do the last day of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Train was on time and a nice ride. Also took the train back from Agues Caliente to Ollantaytambo. Overall a great idea to do this

    Beautiful train trip. Excellent service
    We took this train from Cuzco to Puno. Amazing experience. Víctor was dedicated and professional at all times. Gustavo, the manager, was also very involved and invested in the guests best experience. Dante, the bar tender, provided amazing service and great drinks. The scenery in this trip was breathtaking. The total time in the trip was 10 hours - which my kids were not happy about before it started - by the end of this ride my 10 year old and 14 year old kids were extremely happy with the experience and so were my wife and I. Overall, highly recommended. You’ll get top notch food, music, dances and an amazing view of the Andes. Worth every dollar. Take it.
