Quirky, strange and stimulating

A quirky and strange experience. It's like the Atomium in Brussels met the Gaudi House in Barcelona. To totally view the nuances in each work would take a long time. We did some research about the originator. It is very interesting. The story can be seen on Amazon Prime

Fantastic multi-level castle filled with eclectic art and great views, a must see in Sosua!
The Castillo Mundo King is fabulous, a must-see if you are in the Sosua area. We took a taxi to the top of the hill and then were fine walking down. This is a castle built by a Scandinavian artist who relocated to Sosua, and he filled it with his art over the years, it's a sprawling multi-level experience run by his family. From great view of the bay from the top floors to scary torture scenes in the basement and 10 meter murals, this is a great experience for the family. Note that it is not Los Castillo del Rey del Mundo, or even Castillo Mundo Rey, you'll be greeted with confusion as locals know it by the Spanish name, ask about Castillo Mundo King.

Be amused, the feast for your eyes and mind!
We had a wonderful time checking out this art museum during our time in Sosua. The property is so eccentric and raw in many aspects; structure itself, the collected art and usage of space. Many erotic sculptures and definitely lots to explore on the intellectual level. We chose to have a self guided tour, ( wished I had a flash light). As I learned from the website the castle had no electricity or running water. It would be nice to see some repairs done on some sculptures and also the fresco paintings. As I noticed some are painted on canvas covered with thin plaster, some painted into wet plaster directly. What an amazing eclectic collection of art! It made me think of the human condition as well as love and hate, religion, metaphysics, DNA, physics and chemistry…. So many interesting details and observations of the master mind artist Rolf Schulz!
