Beautiful Beach

A beautiful beach located on a scenic cove on Quepos Point. Water is calm. No motorized craft. Good for swimming, splashing in the waves, and kayaking. Not much snorkeling here. Umbrellas and chaise lounges can be rented, and prices will vary but are negotiable and there is a bar set up for drinks and snacks. There is a moderately steep 5-minute trail from the road down to the beach and it can be a workout when climbing back up. There is also no parking lot, but many cars are parked along the road. Be aware that there is an unofficial local who will insist on payment to park along the road and that is not negotiable. It is also important to point out that this is no hidden gem. The beach can get very busy. It is quietist early in the day. Also important as I discovered is that much of the beach isn't available during high tide so plan your time here accordingly. Your sandy spot might become a lake if you hang around long enough.

Precarious climb down was worth the amazing water in sheltered cove
Beautiful calm water in a cove in a less crowded, albeit smaller beach. The precarious walk down to the beach necessitates decent shoes and a mobility. However this climb and the rockier nature of the sand make for a less crowded spot. As such, renting chairs/umbrella is cheaper than other places. This is a quiet beach with a small food stall and one restaurant that services it. No one hawking their wares or services. Interestingly the music was classic and soft rock, and was perfect for adults to relax. If you have kids, they won't find much sand to be able to build castles with, but they will enjoy the water.

Fun little beach with small waves
We took a taxi down to the drop off for this beach and then hiked down a trail maybe a half mile to the beach. The water was warm and this is a somewhat protected cove with no open ocean waves. There were kayaks for rent at $20 hour (might be able to bargain for a better rate) and even food stands. Nice little beach trip.
