Great Transportation Coordinator
Willie's Tours handled all our transportation for an 8-day trip and did a great job! They handled everything--first they met us at the airport for a private shuttle to our lodging in Cahuita. Then a few days later they drove us to the harbor in Moin where they had arranged for us to take a boat to Tortuguero, our next destination. Finally, they arranged a spot for us on a boat to La Pavona, where a car was waiting to take us back to San Jose. On that final drive, they accommodated our request to stop and hike at a national park for a couple hours. Prices were fair, and it was so great to pay one fee and have all the car and boat rides included. They were great at staying in touch through WhatsApp, and when our flight into Costa Rica was delayed overnight, they were able to adjust at no extra charge. Highly recommended. We also did the Bribri Chocolate, Medicinal Plants, and Cleansing Ceremony which was a great experience.

Great Bribri experience, not the greatest tour experience.
Please do not let this review stop you from visiting the Bribri! We did the Bribri tour which just so happened to coincide with another tour of 14 people from a different group. Jorge the guide from Willie's led us out there and gave us an introduction with some of the history of the family. He then left saying that Luis (one of the Bribri) speaks reasonably good English and that we would complete the tour with him. We found the tour very informative but the guide from the other group had to help us with translations at times as sometime s it was only done in Spanish. We would highly recommend going on a Bribri tour provided a guide stays with you and ideally you are not with such a large group. We would have scheduled for a different day if we had known the circumstances. We stayed after the first large group left to join the next tour of 3 so we could participate in the cleansing ceremony. So glad we did!
