Very nice park for self-guided walk
We did the walk from Kelly Creek entrance. There is a free car park where we left our hired car. Entry is free but donation is encouraged. The walk is very well made, straightforward to follow and there is no way of getting lost. You need to cross a couple of shallow rivers and walk in the forest parallel to the beach, occasionally dipping out onto the beach for short distances. The whole walk all the way to Punta Vargas is about 10km, all flat terrain. At Punta Vargas there are buses passing on the main road that can take you back to Cahuita village. There is also a bar on the left hand side before reaching the main road. There are usually some minibuses there that can take you back for 1500colones pp and you can enjoy a cold beer rather than wait for a bus in the sun. We saw lots of monkeys (howler and capunchins), tucans, tree cutting ants, lizards etc. Lovely experience!

Lovely Place to Explore
Totally recommend spending some time in Cahuita National Park. Tons of treasures to be seen - plants, animals, the beach... Recommend hiring a guide to show you around, without ours we would not have seen nearly as much wildlife.
