Paradise On The Sea Adventures, Prince Edward Island, Canada

5.0 (97 reviews) Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent Ranking #3 in Souris Boat Tours

amazing day at sea!

Had the absolute pleasure of going out on a charter with Darren and his amazing skipper, Porter. Myself and 3 friends did a half day adventure...clammin, mackerel fishing & learning about lobster and crab trapping. Darren cooked up the fish and clams right on the boat!...a fabulous lunch and rewarding to eat what we caught. We also got to see seals in their natural habitat...another highlight of the day. If there's one adventure you must do while visiting the island of PEI, it definetely has to be Paradise on the Sea Adventures in Souris...a day to remember for sure!

    Fishing and Clamming
The best day of our holiday. Capt. Darren did everything he could to rearrange our trip (which was postponed due to difficult weather) and we have just had an amazing day. Our two boys (aged 7 and 5) have been given lasting, wonderful memories of fishing for mackerel, watching (up close) seals and we even saw dolphins jumping out of the water. Just caught mackerel bbq’d with Capt. Darren’s lemon and pepper dressing is the best tasting fish we’ve ever eaten! The clam hunting was brilliant fun and we were so well looked after. We want to say a big thank you to Captain Darren and to the lovely family who let us accompany them today. We cannot recommend enough paradise on the sea adventures, it really is a wonderful family experience.

a bit overpriced for what you got
read the great reviews and was excited for the trip. A couple things you should know- its cash only. This completely depleted our stores of cash and a number of the other passengers had to run off to get cash from ATM's afterwards. Also, between about 13 people, there only was about 6 clams that were found. Really enjoyed the mackerel fishing. It was really disappointing not to have much to eat on the cruise- there was some hot dogs for the kids, but the adults had to split the clams. I think that if you advertise that there will be food, then you should have some back up plan for what to serve people if you don't find clams. Wouldn't mind if there was some sort of clam chowder that they made instead of just the boiled clams. There were some fruit bars and some drinks, but I'm sure that most of the adults left hungry.
