Not so great
Slatina beach is old and it should be modernized. It is ok if you don't care...but there are so many other beaches which you should explore. For example the beach Lido is now part of the beach resort Bevanda and it looks great, than amazing Kantrida in Rijeka with modern pools complex, Medveja, Moscenicka Draga, Icici,...if you walk "lungo mare" you can find a small beach just for yourself.

Clean water, but not particularly nice beach
This is a beach with concrete slabs almost all around. I can see how it can be good for families (there is a small shallow bay that has warmer water), but in general it is not very nice. The views of the old hotels and the sea are gorgeous though!

Best in Croatia ?
It has a sign stating "Best in Croatia", voted for by its citizens. Consider that proclamation to be very doubtful. Has a nice open water swimming pool. That's about it.
