Best beach in Opatija if you can ignore the surly staff!
We visited Lounge Bar Tantra every day during our week long trip to Opatija and once at night. It has sand which is a plus in Opatija(no concrete!) and you access the beautiful sea from a ladder or the high dive board. We hired sun loungers and you can get lounger-service from the waiting staff- coffee, sandwiches and beers are all very reasonably priced. The staff are a bit grumpy but never overly unpleasant. Some of them smiled occasionally! I guess they would rather be lounging by the sea instead of serving drinks so I'll let them off.
