Quite surprised to see this here!
Lago delle Fate is a small lake near Macugnago in the Anzasca Valley. It is a beautiful area and definitely worth a visit. It is almost totally off the general tourist trail, being mostly knowledgeable Italians and German who visit. Visiting this area was a highlight of my summer last year.

Beautiful spot of nature
The lake is an easy walk from the road through a stunning forest just turning golden. Look out for the dwarf faces carved into the tree stumps along the path. The lake is beautifully clear and icy cold on your feet. Well worth a visit

Nice Gelato, but...
There are so many more exciting mountainlakes to visit. But this is worth a visit for it`s icecream!
