Beautiful and very kind temple.

The temple is located on Kham Lue road where the walking street "Kad Kong Kao" is held in every Saturday night. First, we didn't intend to visit the temple. However, the temple kindly allowed tourists in the night market to use their toilets for free (many thanks for your kindness), so we visited the temple (and, of course, made a donation). This ancient temple was renovated in 1929 under the support from the owners of Vongburi house. The temple is really gorgeous even in the night. Highlights of the temple include 108 spire white pagoda, giant golden tortoise statue, huge reclining Buddha, arch entrance with 19 spire golden pagoda, etc. The question was why did we forget to include such a beautiful temple in our itinerary in the first place.

    Unique
This temple is located next to Vongburi House. The last ruler of Phrae moved to Vongburi House after relinquishing power and later (1929) started funding refurbishment and rebuilding of the old derelict temple next door. The Vongburi family thus had an influence on the structures build and their architecture. This makes this temple unique and quite beautiful.

    Crazy turtle and spires
Small and very bright temple complex with a huge turtle as the main attraction. It was really hot so we spent most time cooling off inside the wonderful painted main hall. BTW there are two enticing coffee shops next to the car park.
