Hidden gem in Taiping town.
This little gem of a museum was an accidental find. Tucked in a little corner of the Taiping Laman Budaya just off Station Road. This historic building was the first Telegraph built in Malaysia during the British colonial days. It was in disrepair until it was restored and renovated to its reincarnation today. The museum itself contains a rich history of the progress of the beginning of the Telegraph system to its modern counterpart of telecommunications system. The displays are impressive and the guide that is stationed at the reception is well versed in the history of the museum.

Evocative
The Telegraph Museum is a well presented collection of equipment and pictures that evoke the evolution of sophisticated communications from the 19th century.
