Serene and picturesque

This is a beautiful place off the main tourist track in Ipoh. It is located off the main road with the large Chinese cave temples. It can be a little tricky to find as that is no signage (that we could see). It looks like you are driving into someone's home. We were waved in by a man who collected the RM5 entry fee. The roads were bumpy, however still manageable in a lowered sedan car. On arrival, there was plenty of parking. You walk through a cave/tunnel. It is a little dark in the middle so have the torch on your phone handy to see the ground. On the other side you are greeted with a picturesque view. There is a viewing platform with seating. When we were there it was very quiet with only one other couple, it was about 9am. It was beautiful and serene. I can imagine that it would get quite busy later in the day. This place is incredible and well worth the visit, if in the area.

A beautiful world beyond the tunnel
As my husband put it, this was a gem worth preserving. You walk through the tunnel to get to this beautiful lake and the moment the tunnel opens up, you feel a quiet sense of wonder descend on you. There was something very peaceful about the place and you can easily spend an hour here just soaking up the atmosphere. Note: We did go there on a weekday which is why it probably wasn't very crowded.

Not Recommended on Holiday, Because too Crowded Visitors.
The passage to that lake was quite fascinating, dark inside naturally and reach to the out cave. The entrance fee will be counted once at RM5.00, as the car parking lot was all fine gravel stones. But there's a lot of people reached to that lake, so we didn't get a good chance to take nice photos.
