Scenic Bridge near fishing village
This bridge spans Sepetang River and bridges the Port Weld Fishing Village with the other side of the village on the south bank. The bridge is aptly named as the views really are beautiful, especially when the fishing boats are all in port and, sitting next to the houses and jetties. The mangrove swamps to the east also provide a scenic backdrop. While on the bridge, I also took the opportunity to visit the fishing village itself. There’s not much to see in the village, but many of the houses have jetties where you can get close up views of the river and the boats. I came out from Taiping because it beats sitting in the hotel due to the Malaysian government Covid movement restrictions. Would I come out to Kuala Sepetang just to see this? Probably not, but there are other activities right here live eagle spotting and riverboat ride. In a normal world, those would be a great way to combine a visit.

Great view
It is an easy walk up the bridge but you must be careful of the motorcyclists. View is great. Sunset is beautiful. Lovely to just stand still and watch people live their life.
