This is a must visit in Kuala Kangsar. Entry is free, can be visited in less than half an hour. Enough time to read the small exhibition on the ground. Really great architecture. Colours are so vibrant.

A must visit
Went there about 10 years ago and I was amazed with how this old palace was maintained and preserved. I was eager to visit the site again on 12 March 2020 to proudly show my friend from overseas on our royal history. Unfortunately it was closed for renovation until end of this year (found a small notice on the signboard). It was quite frustrating as there was no announcement made on any relevant websites. Nevertheless this is a must visit site whenever you are in Kuala Kangsar. Nearby, you can also visit Masjid Ubudiah, Royal Gallery and a few other interesting places. Kuala Kangsar will never fail you.

A Quick Photo Stop
Formerly a royal residence in Kuala Kangsar but currently the Royal Museum of Perak. A pretty building on its own and worth a stop for a couple of quick photos but beyond that its really nothing much. You will probably clear it within half an hour. P.S.
