Beautiful location just 5 km from Esquel centre
A beautiful lake set in a small high valley just outside Esquel. Relatively unspoilt countryside all around. Minimal facilities but well marked walking routes. Tough walk from the town or a steep twisty drive on gravel roads. Good spot for wildlfe watching. We were lucky and saw a great big otter making its way slowly across the lake!

A nice little lake very near town
A very good place for kayaking, windsurfing and other water sports. The lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery. But if you don't like crowds, try to avoid going on a weekend in summer, as it is a very popular site. From the nearby pine forest there are some excellent views of the valley and the city.
