Wonderful place, beautiful views, fairly easy hike
Would definitely recommend this if you're in the area. Very relaxing and beautiful place. The hike is intense in the beginning but does ease off some. Does cost 400 pesos per person to enter Would recommend taking the day so you have lots of time to enjoy the view when you arrive.

The hike was worth it to see 'La Islita'
We walked for 6kms or so up and through the Parque Nacional Lanin and around Lago Lacar to arrive at the island. The wind was up and wippng the water so we didn't try to cross over to it, but it looked very lovely and quite an oasis. It was pleasant and relaxing sitting on the beach opposite.
