Wonderful drift fishing

My wife and I, with guide, spent a day drift fishing the Limay in February. Our guide is an excellent fisherman and we caught and released a number of fairly large tout, including a 24-inch Brown. We launched on the upper Limay and drifted for about six hours to our downstream takeout. We saw few other anglers or campers on the drift and the scenery was quite beautiful. A day well spent.

    A beautiful river float
We did a river float on the Limay river. although you are in a raft, there are not rapids, just an occasional wave or two. It is beautiful scenery for the whole trip, very peaceful and quiet. Our guide pointed out various items of interest and answered many question about the area. We were greeted at the end of the float at a small lodge which furnished snacks and beverage. The whole trip was about 1 1/2 to 2 hour trip, but well worth the trip. A great experience.

    Great river float trip
If you have beautiful weather, this is one trip you should try. The river is calm. One can see the geological changes along the border and some bird life. Just a small natural wonder.
