Route 63 San Martin de los Andes to Villa Angustura
Recommend taking this unmade road between San Martin de los Andes and Villa Angustura. It is quite stony and dusty but worth the effort and we did not have a 4x4. It took around a couple of hours so it is a longer journey than the lake route. It is very beautiful and takes you through the hills with lots of streams and places to stop. We stopped at Lago Meliquina and found this wonderful rustic tavern run by 3 lovely ladies called the VENTA DE LOTES CONFITERIA. A great and tranquil place for a coffee or lunch. The road then goes on and through Lago Traful which is also an interesting stop off place where there are several restaurants and camping sights .

Rendezvous with nature
Peaceful surroundings, clean fresh air, an ideal place to spend few days and meditate about were this world goes. Fantastic place to bring a family. The lake is so crystal clear a really fantastic to plunge into,in a very hot summer day
