Great museum

GLACIARIUM is a modern interpretive galciological centre, and one of the few Glacier Museums in the world. The understanding of glaciers and environmental awareness are our main subjects.The exhibits include models, dioramas, photographs, screens, interactive representations, a 3D documentary, and other modern resources that provide an enriching experience.

    must go
    we went to the glaciarium after having visited the 3 main attractions in perito moreno, and the guided tour was a very pleasant surprise. our guide alexis had deep knowledge about the history and geology of the region. at the time of our visit (feb 2023) the general admission price was 3.5k pesos.

    Informative and lovely venue
    There was free transport provided from the town El Calafate, which gave lovely views of the lake, and had we realised this fact earlier in our trip we would have made a second trip to give us time to explore the area more. The museum itself was very attractive, affordable and staff were helpful. The informative and thoughtfully-planned displays were all in English and Spanish, good quality gift shop and snack bar with amazing views of the lake. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because the ice bar, to our great disappointment, was closed!
