The vibrant center of absolute beauty
It's true there is a lot of German influences in Bariloche. There were surges in immigration following both WWI and WWII.Outside the traditional ski lodge constructed area there is a great artesan stand grouping, through the arches under the museum the town has a real variety of stores and other service industries and shops. This week has turned warm and lots of people are now out enjoying the warmth and lack of wind. We loved it.

Vibrant place with music, revelry, restaurants, and lush green park
This is really enjoyable place to spend a late afternoon and evening. Bands play music around here and you can walk the Mitre and Moreno streets to shop and eat and have fun. People are really nice and it's safe. Watch out for the street Cambios (currency changers), and avoid them.

Not much of a destination
Uniform architecture surrounding a small plaza. Not significant in size, interest or historically. Certainly if in Bariloche it’s worth walking over at noon or 6pm to watch the clock tower expose the wooden sculptures which are revealed from a revolving door.
