Small museum operated by school

The Sogeri Cultural Museum is a little-known attraction located inside the grounds of the Sogeri National High School and has been has been operated by the school for the past 50 years. Maintained by a committee of staff and student volunteers, the small museum has an eclectic collection of artworks and village artifacts mainly from the Sogeri and wider Central Province region but there are also items of interest from other tribal areas donated by students and staff from other parts of PNG who came to study or teach at the school. The museum opens by appointment or on demand only, so on arrival at the school you should enquire at the school gate or school office if anybody is available to open up the museum. On weekdays mid afternoon is the best bet, after classes have finished, or ant time on weekends (it's a boarding school so there are always people around). There is no entry fee that I know of but a tip for whoever opens up and shows you around would no doubt be appreciated.
