Lovely church - go to mass while on vacation!
We were staying at the Hilton DoubleTree and this church is 2 min walk away. Simple elegance outside and in. White exterior and beautiful interior with a red altar and blue ceilings. I found the combination very calming while listening to the Spanish mass. If you're Catholic - you know the order of mass so hearing it in Spanish you can 'translate' some in your head while sitting with the Panamanian parishioners in this peaceful setting. 3 Daily M-F masses, 9 masses on Sunday and 4 on Saturday. Attending mass while on vacation is a cultural treat - this church was a great start to our Sunday morning.

Beautiful short visit.
We were walking through the square and saw people standing outside so we walked over. There were other people standing in the square offering to be a tour guide that you could hire, but we did not, so I can not comment on that. The location is no cost to visit, but there are donation boxes if you feel you would like to leave anything. The location is beautiful with air conditioning to refresh yourself from the heat outside. There are displays which describe specific key moments. It was an accidental stop, but we were glad we ended up here since we wouldn’t have gone all the way here only for this. It was about a 10 to 15 minute visit, but very impressive.

Next to the Metro
The church can be found right next to the metro station named Iglesia del Carmen. The church cannot be missed and boasts height and grandeur in comparison to it's surroundings. The exterior is unique and awe-striking.
