Renting a bike at Burke and riding the Cinta Costera, a lot of fun

We rented a bicycle and biked the cinta Costera, enjoyed the views and the beautiful bike path till the soccer stadium and back. We biked also along the seafront on the bike path. This is the only place I would bike, Panama City is too crowded and dangerous to bike somewhere else.

    Best views of the city
This road goes out into the ocean to avoid the city, and thankfully they added a great walking biking lane(s) to enjoy. Beautiful flowers and landscaping, wonderful views of the new and the old town, and very safe. Enjoy lunch in the very inexpensive fish market located at one end of the causeway.

Very Enjoyable but There's One Issue To Be Aware Of...
The Cinta Costera is a great thing to experience while you're in Panama City. The scenery is very nice and if you're a people watcher, you get to see a wide assortment of locals and tourists. We did it late on a Friday afternoon so while it was humid, it was somewhat overcast and we didn't have the sun beating down on us. We had a taxi drop us off at the PANAMA sign and then we walked back towards our hotel so I think we did maybe half of it. I highly recommend it for any visitors to Panama City. The one issue that you should be aware of is what confronted us; we got started on our walk and my wife felt nature's call. While there are public bathrooms located along the path, we found out that these were not only closed but locked shut. Apparently, the local authorities decided to do that for some reason. We were able to get a tip from a local vendor to cross Avenida Balboa and ask to use the bathroom at the Children's Hospital which we did. It's hard for my gringo mind to fathom why Panamanian authorities have done this at such a popular tourist attraction but that is the current state of affairs. Plan accordingly to avoid any uncomfortableness!
