Best of Panama City
Designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Biomuseo is his only work in Latin America and the tropics. The building was designed to tell the story of how the isthmus of Panama rose from the sea, uniting two continents, separating a vast ocean in two, and changing the planet's biodiversity forever.

About a 2 hour visit
We spent about 2 hours at the museum. They had helpful greeters at each section of the museum. Not many authentic artifacts - rather pictures or models of things. One section, which was in the open air, required a lot of reading (provided in both Spanish and English). The information about how Panama came to be was interesting. We took an Uber to and from the museum for about $5 each way. Seniors get a $2 discount on the rather expensive entry fee.

Quirky Museum Design Containing Good Information
There are serious reasons for the location and design of this museum and you learn a lot about the animals, plants and peoples of Panama. Enjoyable and informative. The gardens were in need of some care and attention, but overall a meaningful way to spend a couple hours.
