Striking medieval tower with interesting exhibits
The Sassenport is a striking medieval tower dating back to 1409. It is one of the remaining parts of the mostly destroyed city walls. At certain times the Sassenport is open to climb. It has four small floors worth of interesting exhibits along the way up, and visitors are provided with a flyer pointing out the most interesting features of the building. On the top floor you can catch a glimpse of the clock mechanisms and swinging pendulum. (The clock dates to the early 1700s.) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit to anyone who was visiting the region and it's certainly a must-see while in Zwolle.

Fairytale city gate
Really attractive landmark dating from 1409 in the beautiful city of Zwolle. Not open every day, so will have to return to look inside.
