Great museum in an unique glass building in Zwolle
Great museum in an unique round glass egg shaped building located in Zwolle, Netherlands . I visited Zwolle solely to see this beautiful museum with great architecture. Worth seeing arts on display as well including Marc Chagall, Piet Mondrian or Vincent van Gogh. End your visit with a coffee on the last floor and enjoy the landscape on a rainy weekend trip.

Freedom - Dutch Core Art Since 1968 - Until May 12th, 2019
The new Freedom exhibition in De Fundatie shows the 50 core Dutch modern art pieces since 1968 (in the curator's opinion, obviously). Beauty remains in the eye of the beholder, but I certainly found some objects quite stunning, such as: - Lariam by Erik van Lieshout (about the hallucinations from the anti-Malaria drug), - Clementine's Dream by Ferdi (soft large object), - the large boxed clay object without title by Guido Geelen, and of course the showpiece, - The Unexpected Return of Blinky Palermo from the Tropics by the collective Seymour Likely. Also some of the modern paintings are quite attractive. Overall certainly worth a visit to the Fundatie.

Terrific museum
What a delight! The Jeroen Krabbe exhibition was well worth seeing, but the permanent collection was full of nice surprises such as a Dufy and a Turner. Lots of great Dutch artists: Mondrian, Sluijters, israels, Toroop and some impressive work by Jan Cremer. Worth visiting the chic cafe situated in the dome, with a great view out over the whole of beautiful Zwolle. Nice museum shop too.
