    Awesome place
We stopped here while we waited to check in to our hotel. Let me just say this place is a must see. It was like two museums in one. The military side was great full of history. It was a pretty amazing to see all the things they had. My favorite was the doll houses they were so detailed I was there for a long time looking at everything. Another thing it's free which I'm surprised such a great place FREE. We left a good donation on both parts of the museum because we felt that what we saw was worth more than that. We will be back and bring more people with us to see this great place.

    Something for everyone!
We came on a hot Friday afternoon in the summer. Great place to keep cool and spend some time enjoying local history and a very impressive frontier house inside the museum. My understanding was that is was dismantled and put back together inside the building, and furnished with period furnishings. There is a block of old "businesses" with lots of interesting items that remind you of yesteryears. There is also an interesting transportation room and another small museum of military items too. Something for everyone!
