Disappointing

The landing area was poorly marked and difficult to get to. It was pure mud getting out of the kayak and no workers were around to help us or show us where to go. Then when we were ready to leave, people had blocked in our car!! And the lady at the desk said she would have to find the people on the river or we would just have to wait! Thankfully we were able to squeeze by by driving in the woods but all the other cars next to us were going to be in the same boat! Doesn’t seem to be very well managed or organized. The beginning of the trip was great kayaking but overall Falcon Floats was very disappointing. I would suggest booking with someone else!

    Terrifying.
I'm struggling with rating this place overall. On one hand, the gentleman who helped us in the office was so kind and funny but was definitely overwhelmed as his employee hadn't shown up that morning. The river itself was beautiful and we overall had an okay time! On the opposite hand, we were told to arrive at 10am, and spent so much time just waiting for people to show up to take us and our kayaks to the drop off spot, so we could've gotten there at 11:00 and been there on time essentially. The bus ride was absolutely terrifying. Some young guy was driving us; couldn't understand a damn word he said, he was coughing up loogeys and spitting them out the window every five seconds, yelled at every person he passed with a backwoods "yee-EEE" followed by some other words texting and talking on the phone, I might add We were going so fast. There were tons of curves and signs that said "only go 10 mph around these curves" and instead he decided to go a minimum of 59 the entire time. I clutched on to the bus for dear life and prayed to jesus even though I don't believe in him okay? That's how scared we were. That bus stopped and I kissed the ground like you do the tarmac at an airport. I saw life flash before my eyes, my short 24 years coming to an end. We made it.... Somehow. The end of the float was nasty as well. We had to trudge through feet of mud to finish out journey and hose off up by the office. Anyways. If you enjoy backwoods driving by someone who probably has had his license revoked three times and a couple warrants out for his arrest, and you like walking through feet of mud like you're in the rain forest, or you like waiting over an hour to take off on your scary journey, then I'd recommend this place. If you value safety, timeliness, no spitting and lack of lingo you can't understand, use the float place down the street.
