Golf Club of Dublin, Ohio, United States

4.0 (31 reviews) Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent Ranking #1 in Dublin Golf Courses

Nice course with friendly staff...

As with most of the New Era courses, this is a very nice layout that is fun to play. I do think the slope rating is a bit high -- the court has pretty generous fairways and large greens. The staff is very friendly and want to be sure you have a good time. Only negatives are the course has a lot of outings (can't blame them for that, courses need the money) and the greens are a bit tore up -- even bad golfers should know how to fix ball marks. And the pace of play can be a bit slow because the course is generally crowded, but it's a nice place to spend a day...

Great course that is being mismanaged
I love this course . I play at least weekly and always look forward to it. The food in the clubhouse is good - when it's available - mostly just the usual clubhouse burger/hot dog when I have there for golf. When they do have an extended menu, it's delicious. The problem is, there is no knowing when that is available. The biggest downside is the management. Not friendly and at times disdainful of their patrons. I have joined all the "loyalty" clubs but never hear from them. Perhaps their tee times are always full all of the time and that allows them to care so little about reaching out with any special events or discounts (however small). Most businesses relish their email lists and constantly barrage with email touting their product. Not so here. Perhaps that is why the bar and restaurant area always seem deserted (would it be so hard to offer breakfast burritos or have a dinner special to temp us to stay?) I have come to the conclusion that I will make my tee time, play with my friends, and leave as I would any other public course rather than expect that I will have reason to go out of my way to stay and eat or go there for any reason other than a round of golf scheduled as any other course. Too bad - could be a destination for non-golfers as many other public courses have found.
