This is a great place to hang out for an afternoon/evening as there are many restaurants on both sides of the park. Afterwards, you can go for a stroll on the bridge and check out the new Dublin library, grab dessert at the various ice cream shops, or go for a mini hike at Indian run falls. See more..

    - So pristine
    Parks
    Ballantrae Community Park image
I was driving down the street and noticed an interesting statue. As I got closer, I realized it was three rabbits frolicking on top of a hill. The hill was set in a park that was otherwise flat. I parked and walked the entire park to observe the City of Dublin cares about the aesthetics of its parks. One can only imagine the mentality of dogs walking in the park when they see these super sized rabbits on top of the hill. See more..

    Indian Run Falls image
Beautiful walk along the rim of the gorge that includes views of the creek, water falls, and rock cliffs. The falls are beautiful if you can get a good view of them with all the trees. We enjoyed our walk from the parking lot across the bridge at the upper falls along the rim to the cemetery and back. Some really old grave stones in the cemetery dating back to the 1800’s. 11. 4.5 Coffman Park (20 reviews)
    - Dublin Irish Festival
Spent 1-2 hours Parks • Playgrounds
    Coffman Park image
The Dublin Irish Festival is held in this park each year, the first weekend in August. It has been so popular it has expanded into 8 stages of music and dancing, all kinds of food, and everything Irish. You can see dogs herding, have an Irish whiskey sampling or learn about Irish culture and history. Hands on demonstrations to learn how to tat, make chain mail or make soda bread. The little ones can spend hours in the children's area, not to mention the playgrounds. This is a very large popular park and is used year round. Teens will like the skate park too. The recreation center is busy all the time too. If you haven't been here you have missed a great resource. The park is free except during festivals. You need to be a member to participate in recreation center activities and classes. See more..
  12. 4.5 PAI Yoga & Fitness (19 reviews)
    - Fantastic!
    Saturday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Yoga & Pilates
    PAI Yoga & Fitness image
I recently purchased a 10-class Groupon at PAI thinking it might be a good way to get back to yoga after a high-risk pregnancy and the craziness of infant-hood and early toddlerhood with twins. I have been so pleasantly surprised! My previous class experience has been neutral - helpful but not as enjoyable as my quiet home practice. In just a few classes, my practice has exploded and I've been renewed. I've learned more in the last few weeks than I have in years. I feel I have something to take away from every class - a slight tweak or new variation of a pose, strength-building exercises, or better use of props. Most importantly, each instructor I've encountered at PAI has brought a sense of fun and relaxation/peace to each class. It's so refreshing to fall out of a pose and feel comfortable with giggling and, more importantly, to have an instructor giggle with you rather than chastise. See more..

  17. 4.5 Watch House & Circle Mound (2 reviews)
    - A strange spherical observatory sits on the edge of 200 ft. dia. landscape circle.
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
Watch House & Circle Mound image
What a hoot! You have to climb a slight hill (ok for an able senior) to see it up close and to photograph. What a wonderful pix op! According to available information, "Artist Todd Slaughter created this domed house on the edge of a 200 ft. diameter circle in 1999. The copper, bronze and stucco structure is lit by windows and cutouts in the dome in the shape of household furniture and items that project sunlight down into the house. t is intended to meld imagery from modern culture with native traditions and culture. It is sort of hidden by some trees and is no longer gold colored. About 100 yards away from the Watch House is a sculpture of a boy hanging from the limb of a tree. We didn't know about it when we visited but the picture showed the boy was climbing the tree. Will check it out next time. This is a neat attraction to see if you like unusual and/or funky structures. This artist has quite an imagination. We enjoyed it! See more..

  19. 4.0 Golf Club of Dublin (31 reviews)
    - Nice course with friendly staff...
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Golf Courses
    Golf Club of Dublin image
As with most of the New Era courses, this is a very nice layout that is fun to play. I do think the slope rating is a bit high -- the court has pretty generous fairways and large greens. The staff is very friendly and want to be sure you have a good time. Only negatives are the course has a lot of outings (can't blame them for that, courses need the money) and the greens are a bit tore up -- even bad golfers should know how to fix ball marks. And the pace of play can be a bit slow because the course is generally crowded, but it's a nice place to spend a day... See more..
  20. 4.0 The Woodhouse Day Spa - Columbus, OH (30 reviews)
    - Re-reviewing
    Saturday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spas
The Woodhouse Day Spa - Columbus, OH image
I reviewed this spa 2 years ago after having been a dozen times. At this point I’ve probably been to the Woodhouse 3x that and I felt compelled to re-review after my last 2 visits. The last 2 times I went, once for manicure and once for 80 min deep tissue were not up to the standards I had previously experienced. The services were not bad, but just “fine.” Unfortunately I’m no longer going to pay those prices and drive 45 min out of my way for an average experience. Also, there is no steam room or sauna or way to eat there so you really are just going for an appointment not an experience. In my opinion the Woodhouse is an average spa in the Columbus area that I used to think was exceptional. See more..

  25. 3.5 Field of Giant Corn Ears (393 reviews)
    - An “Oddity of Columbus” but an interesting stop
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
Field of Giant Corn Ears image
I’d wanted to see this for some time, so a visit to Columbus to see my OSU student was a perfect time. It can be a quick stop, or a longer play stop depending on your mood or energy. The stone corn is located on a flat corn-er lot and fairly easy to find with parking on site. I was surprised at the number of people there on a Sunday afternoon, but it was still easy to socially distance! It’s a whimsical stop that will have your family saying “Remember that time we saw the field of corn?” but is not something you’ll want to do every time you visit Columbus. See more..
