    Nice Surprise - Great Memorabilia
Even if you're not a car aficionado, if you like antiques and memorabilia, you'll find something of interest here. This museum is large, with the variety of an antique mall. Staff was friendly. Thanks for a fun visit!

The answer to why Canton was called "Little Chicago"
The Canton Classic Car Museum is downtown near a major hotel, the 200 year old newspaper, the National First Ladies Library and the church where President McKinley worshipped when he lived in Canton. As a local resident, I have gone there 3 times and always find something new to marvel about. The history of each car is displayed, and they have a police car with 2" plate glass, gun turrets, and spotlights like you remember from the old gangster movies. The collection belonged to a local couple--the husband collected the cars and the wife collected an AMAZING trove of clothing, signs, toys, collectibles, children's furniture, and just about anything you can imagine from the 1930s to the 1960s. They have the same dollhouse I had as a child and the cases full of antique toys will have you spending at least an hour on the memoribilia before you even move to the rooms with the cars. It's not expensive, parking is free, and the neighborhood nearby has many properties recently renovated beautifully. You should visit this gem when you are in Canton visiting the Football Hall of Fame!
