- 5.0 Blue Water Majesty Museum (15 reviews)
-Must Add to your Bucket List
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums
Imagine seeing an 18th century sailing ship, complete with deck nails and rigging, just as it must have appeared over 200 years ago. Now imagine this ship is only 4 feet long. This is the magic of the museum known as "Blue Water Majesty." All models are exact duplicates of their full grown sisters and are made from copies of the original blue prints. See more..

It is the only place you can see and purchase Margene May's amazingly beautiful textile art. -First Friday Highlight!
Spent < 1 hour Art Galleries
I experienced the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography for the first time at yesterday's First Friday in the Canton Arts District. All I can is "wow" about this collection. In addition to the featured exhibit, there are a wide range of exhibits, including early 20th century and 19th century collections. The building is magnificent, too; a great example of how an old historic building can be renovated and repurposed. See more..

- 5.0 Muskellunge Brewing Company (1 review)
-Hall of Fame Beer Trip
Breweries
Hey, football and beer fans! If you are going to Canton to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame, please be aware that Muskellunge Brewing Company is a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee of my favorite breweries and that I strongly suggest that this place is worth a stop to sample their beers. I prefer beers that are not overly hoppy, and Muskellunge provides numerous options where the hops are not out of control and the beer quality is high. They have a group of their "always available" beers as well as seasonal additions. My wife likes the hoppy beers, and she found plenty to like here too. On our visit we were served by the owner and brew master, and he shared that he is a chemist by training. He clearly payed attention in his classes, as evidenced by the flavor and quality of his beers. Light snacks were available there, and you can have food delivered in. The day we were there, a group of gamers were having a session, so the place welcomes those of you who want to stay for hours and engage in fun with your friends. We stopped in to grab a quick flight of beers, and our only regret from our visit was that we weren't coming back to Canton soon. And hey, anglers! You'll enjoy that the beers are named for various fish, and you'll like that the beer flight tray handles are drawer pulls of fish. See more..
- 5.0 The Hub Art Factory (1 review)
-Unique 21st Century Art Gallery/Factory
Spent < 1 hour Art Galleries
Tim Carmany, owner of The Hub, always has something interesting going on for First Friday. In July, there were about 10 artists painting on signs, cars, building, murals and doors! The whole building is a work of art and always changing. The talent of the artists there is amazing! And pricing very reasonable. "Baby Bron" (pic of Lebron James as a boy) was a cool addition on the side of the building. This is a must-see on First Fridays! I think other hours vary. You can see their website or Facebook page. - 4.0 First Ladies National Historic Site (83 reviews)
-McKinley Home AND First Ladies Museum
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites
I didn’t even know McKinley had a house in Canton and only stumbled onto it while looking at the First Ladies Museum. The parking lot for both is located behind the McKinley House. You walk a block to the First Ladies Museum for tickets and to start the tour. Our tour took about 30 minutes and it was interesting and informative. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the museum, but they do have some original articles of clothing of Ida McKinley and replicas of inaugural gowns of First Ladies. Well worth a stop. See more..
