Tour the house used in "A Christmas Story"
There is a free parking lot next to the house. This is the house used in the filming of the movie "A Christmas Story." Tour tickets are sold in the gift shop across the street just past the museum. Tours begin in the house and conclude in the museum and last about 1/2 hour. The tour guide gives background about the movie and artifacts in the house and then gives a few minutes for the guests to "explore" the house. From there to the back yard for a quick talk and look around. Then across the street to the museum for another quick talk and look around. I have never seen the movie, so I did not have the background necessary to understand many of the references. If you are familiar with the movie, as most of the other guests were, it seems to be a very enjoyable experience. COVID-19: Employees were masked and visitors were expected to remain masked throughout the tour. Social distancing is problematical on the tour.

A must see for your Cleveland visit
Growing up in Cleveland, I have such pride for this movie being a part of our history. I have been twice now and I will always bring out of town guests there to visit. Took friends there yesterday and they loved it! After showing them many sites in Cleveland, this was their favorite. Our tour guide, Star, had amazing enthusiasm and was great. It can't be easy to always have excitement as a tour guide, and she did it and then some. The museum is excellent as well. So many great artifacts. The crew in gift shop have as much appreciation for the movie as I do. The gift shop is very large and has some actually VERY reasonably priced items. Some are what you would expect as far as mark ups, but there are actually some great options that won't break the bank.
