    Heinen's Downtown image
Solid small grocery in the middle of downtown. If you are staying at one of the downtown hotels, it is very walkable and have enough small stapes for either a light meal or snacks if you don't want to pay bar prices. Very good wine and beer selection as well as some varied cheeses. The nice thing is that they preserved the old architecture of the bank including the large stained glass that is the roof of the rotunda and the paintings along the walls. Even if you don't really buy anything, it is worth a visit to check out. See more..

  19. 4.5 James A. Garfield Monument (379 reviews)
    - truly SPECTACULAR
    Monuments & Statues
    James A. Garfield Monument image
You would think this AMAZING memorial to an assassinated president would be Lincoln’s if you had to guess and were uninformed, but it’s not! Almost a cathedral built to house the remains of James and Lucretia Garfield in the crypt. And it’s free. I know John Rockefeller and some other noteworthy people are buried in this cemetery but this was so beautiful that I just wasn’t concerned. His casket is the only president’s who is above ground, which is also pretty interesting. Be warned, the way the GPS took me to it from downtown Cleveland took me through a TERRIBLE part of the city, so just be aware, and don’t get out and mosey in that area unless absolutely necessary. The cemetery had people about and seemed fine though. It was a bit removed from the roughest area. Aug 2017 visit See more..

  29. 4.0 Terminal Tower Observation Deck (268 reviews)
    - Beautiful Building that was for a Long Time Tallest Building Outside New York
Architectural Buildings • Observation Decks & Towers
    Terminal Tower Observation Deck image
This is the second tallest building in Cleveland today and was when built the tallest building in the world outside of New York city. It is a great example of the Beau Arts style that inspired massive building complexes early in the 20th Century. At 52 stories and 708 feet it is by far the tallest of these structures. There is an observation deck that is open to visit on weekends. We had tickets but our flight changed and we did not land in Cleveland until after the deck was closed. Still I really enjoyed seeing the building. Both its height and location makes it the prominent Cleveland landmark despite not being the tallest anymore. See more..
